We gather as a community to rest in the presence of our God who is steadfast and faithful, especially during the most difficult times of our lives. This is the theology of the cross revealed in the life of Christ. This truth is also reflected in the story of Joseph as he was sold into slavery and sat long years in a prison for a crime he did not commit. God was with him just as God is with us.
