On the first Sunday of Christmas, we find the holy family in the templemeeting Simeon and Anna who prophesy about the workings of Godthrough the life of the baby Jesus.

In the depths of winter, we welcome the light of the Christ child. The angels declare that Jesus’ birth is good and joyful news for everyone, including lowly shepherds. Filled with the light that shines in our lives, we go forth to share the light of Christ with the whole world.

Gracious Creator, in moments of uncertainty, we turn to you with hearts heavy but hopeful. We gather in your presence today, hearts brimming with gratitude for the extraordinary gift of love you have bestowed upon us. May the celebration of love extend beyond our immediate circles, creating ripples of compassion and unity in the world.
